Interactions, Impressions and Reach are all important statistics to keep an eye on especially when you are advertising and seeking results from you Facebook activity. We looked at the top 5 posts with the highest amount of interactions and engagement for 1 of our clients. Guess what, we found some interesting statistics we wanted to share. We worked hard to identify their target audience & create their content strategy and found the lessons you can apply no matter what industry you’re in.
1. Use a more personal approach
We used a more Personalised style approach for their posts by featuring their customers’ stories and images. During the summer months, they received nearly 200k total interactions, and grew their audience by 40% – that’s 520 new Facebook (organic) Fans. This approach clearly worked for them. These types of posts are a great way for companies to establish more meaningful connections between your business and customers. Customers want to share their content and interact with you as it is perceived a more personable and meaningful interaction. Since our appointment by Salathong they receive an average of 65 likes per post and average monthly impressions of 20000 people !
This was Salathong’s 2nd most successful post during the summer months, and it also happened to be the best one they ever published. The image sparked a whirlwind of emotions, receiving over 200 likes and reactions, more than 30 comments and 20 shares as well as 30000 impressions on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
2. Prioritise Social Customer Service
Providing great social customer care can positively impact your business both online and offline. Responding to your audience’s questions can also increase interactions and lead to greater brand awareness. Not only does interacting with your audience boost engagement, you can improve customer acquisition and retention, and learn what they want from your product or service in the process. A response rate should not be longer than 5 minutes and always attempt to provide a solution to any query or problem within the 1st hour. Prompt and helpful customer service will take a lot of that burden of your busy in-house staff and also boost your social profiles showing attentiveness and care.
3. Develop a well-balanced organic and paid promotion strategy
Companies are promoting their posts more than ever before, yet there still needs to be a balance between paid and organic content. You are after all competing against your competitors’ and hence to present a clear, purposeful and compelling post to entice them to perform any further “actions”. If you are generating interactions only from paid promotion, you risk losing money on content that might not be relevant for your audience. We recently conducted a study and found that promoting bad content can result in 5x more negative feedback and 100% higher cost per click. In other words, if you are promoting bad content, you are paying double to potentially harm your brand.
Consequently, it is important to Interact with your Customers, Provide them with genuine Answers and manage your Social strategy carefully !
